Description

Rounded single crystal of fluorite from Seilles, an old-time classic from Belgium. It is a floater specimen, formed by smooth, naturally etched crystal faces and the colour is an attractive blue, with a band of purple colour. These pieces were found as floater crystals in a loose clay matrix, filling cracks in limestones. In very good condition, hard to find nowadays a floater piece such as this.

Found in the early 1970’s, it was acquired in 1973 by Gerard Vogel.
